Hi, I’m a cop and a PhD student at Canterbury Christ Church University Police Research Centre. I’ve over sixteen years in the Job, and have studied throughout my career. I’m passionate about using good research in Policing and believe that better partnerships between Police and Academia are a big part of our future.
I’m one of 7 students lucky enough to have been a part of the Paul McKeever scholarship ( @PMScholarship on Twitter) and am currently studying the interaction between successful candidates and their existing social networks during police recruitment. The scholarship course was funded by the Metropolitan Police Federation and its aim was to improve the use of good research in policing and form strong relationships between academics and cops on the front line.
In another life I have 2 children and an understanding wife, lots of techy hobbies, and I also enjoy lifting heavy things and the gym (whenever I have any time at all!). I’ve been told I’m a nice bloke, so if you want to get in touch, feel free to drop me a quick message at firstname.lastname@example.org
I’m @DedicatedPeeler on Twitter if you would prefer to Tweet me.
